Job Summary

DePaul University invites expressions of interest for a pool of qualified Part-time Faculty to teach courses in Biological Sciences. The Department of Biological Sciences within the College of Science and Health seeks applicants to teach in various sub-disciplines, including Biostatistics, Cellular and Molecular Biology, Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, Genetics, Microbiology and/or Immunology, Neuroscience, and Physiology.

Responsibilities
  • Teach collegiate level courses in Biological Sciences
  • Develop and implement curriculum to meet the needs of diverse students
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback
  • Contribute to a collaborative and inclusive learning environment
Requirements
  • Broadly trained in Biological Sciences with a strong commitment to undergraduate education
  • Graduate degree in Biological Sciences or related field
  • Teaching experience as the primary instructor for collegiate level courses preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in working in a diverse learning environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience teaching in a variety of sub-disciplines within Biological Sciences
  • Strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in the classroom
