As part of RSM's Global Employer Services, our advisory team is dedicated to offering clients comprehensive expertise in areas such as remote work analysis, tax consulting and compliance, global equity tracking, assignment planning, business traveler support, and social security matters. Our GES professionals simplify the complexities of these issues, alleviating stress for our clients.

In the Global Employer Services Group at RSM, your responsibilities will encompass the following key duties, centered around three fundamental principles: Technical & Quality Expertise, People & Talent Management, and Client Service/Business Development:

  • Act as a Career Advisor, providing mentorship and constructive performance feedback to team members.
  • Facilitate training and development opportunities for staff.
  • Manage multiple intricate issues while communicating effectively in layman's terms to bridge the gap between clients and the service team, while mitigating risks for both parties.
  • Guide clients through a comprehensive range of Global Mobility Tax services, including planning, research, compliance, and addressing complex personal income tax and payroll challenges in both Canadian and U.S. contexts; assist in expatriate policy design and implementation as well as compensation structuring.
  • Oversee and nurture the business relationships of complex engagements, emphasizing high-quality tax advisory services and identifying opportunities to expand client services.
  • Drive growth and profitability within your specialty area by generating new revenue from existing clients and pursuing new business opportunities.
  • Engage directly with clients to address inquiries, planning, and consulting needs.
  • Serve as the Tax client service coordinator, developing and executing the firm's client service strategy.
  • Review research findings to ensure they align with firm policies and professional standards.
  • Build cross-functional relationships to guarantee excellent client service through an integrated approach.
  • Stay informed about current tax practices and legislative changes.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • CPA, JD, LLM, or EA certification.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in personal income tax and payroll, with knowledge of Canadian and U.S. tax systems being advantageous.
  • Ability to support financial growth initiatives and manage a portfolio of business.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A proven track record of managing multiple projects and engagement teams for diverse clients.
  • Strong project management and critical thinking abilities.
  • Capability to generate new business and expand service offerings.
  • Experience with international tax matters is a plus.
