Nursing Attendant

We are seeking a skilled Nursing Attendant to join our Central Nursing Service team on an evening shift. As a Nursing Attendant, you will play a vital role in providing direct and indirect patient care to assigned patients under the supervision of a Registered Professional Nurse.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges, ensuring a smooth transition for patients and their families.
- Conduct regular patient rounds to ensure patients' comfort, safety, and personal needs are met.
- Prepare patients for meals, including clearing overbed tables and positioning patients correctly for eating.
- Perform and assist with simple treatments, such as removing and reapplying SCD wraps, as directed by the RN.
- Collect specimens as directed by the RN and inform them of any audible clinical alarms.
- Assist with moving, lifting, positioning, and transporting patients, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Change linen in accordance with policy and as necessary, maintaining a clean and safe environment.
- Take and electronically record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, pulse oximetry, and respiration, and report any abnormalities to the RN.
- Perform post-mortem care and respond to patient and family needs with compassion and understanding.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Graduate of a Certified Nursing Attendant program or minimum 6 months relevant experience.
- BLS or Heartsaver CPR/AED certification required.
- Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
