Abdominal Transplant Psychiatrist Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Abdominal Transplant Psychiatrist to join our team at Montefiore Medical Center. As a key member of our Abdominal Transplant Service, you will provide expert psychiatric care to patients undergoing abdominal transplants, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide outpatient clinical care to transplant patients, including evaluations and consultations
  • Collaborate with transplant surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans
  • Participate in transplant selection meetings and provide psychiatric input on patient suitability
  • Conduct donor and new transplant evaluations, and provide consultation to transplant patients during inpatient stays
  • Contribute to the education and training of medical students, residents, and fellows

Requirements:
  • Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Psychiatry
  • Additional training in Consultation Liaison Psychiatry and/or Addictions Psychiatry is highly encouraged but not required
