Abdominal Transplant Psychiatrist Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Abdominal Transplant Psychiatrist to join our team at Montefiore Medical Center. As a key member of our Abdominal Transplant Service, you will provide comprehensive psychiatric care to patients undergoing abdominal transplant procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide outpatient clinical care to transplant patients, including evaluation and treatment of psychiatric conditions
  • Collaborate with transplant surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care
  • Participate in transplant selection meetings and provide psychiatric input on patient suitability
  • Develop and implement treatment plans to address psychiatric needs of transplant patients
  • Conduct donor and new transplant evaluations, and provide consultation to transplant patients during inpatient stays
Requirements:
  • Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Psychiatry
  • Additional training in Consultation Liaison Psychiatry and/or Addictions Psychiatry is highly encouraged but not required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
