Job Overview

We are looking for dedicated and enthusiastic Adventure Course Facilitators to enhance our outdoor experience. The ideal candidates will possess a love for nature, a strong focus on safety, and the capability to inspire and engage participants across various age groups. As a Ropes Course Supervisor, your primary role will be to lead and oversee activities, ensuring participant safety while delivering an unforgettable adventure.

Compensation:

$14 per hour

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead ropes course activities, including both high and low elements, zip lines, and climbing walls.
  • Guarantee the safety of all participants by adhering to established safety protocols and performing daily equipment inspections.
  • Provide comprehensive instructions and demonstrations to participants, ensuring their understanding of safe equipment usage.
  • Monitor and assist participants throughout their experience, offering support and motivation as required.
  • Conduct pre-activity briefings and post-activity evaluations to enrich the learning and team-building aspects of the experience.
  • Perform regular maintenance and inspections of ropes course elements and gear.
  • Assist in the setup and dismantling of course elements as necessary.
  • Maintain a tidy and organized work environment.
  • Respond to emergencies and administer first aid or CPR when needed.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to foster a positive and encouraging atmosphere.
Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; accreditation from the Association for Challenge Course Technology (ACCT) or additional education in outdoor recreation, adventure education, or related fields is advantageous.
  • Prior experience in ropes course facilitation, outdoor education, or adventure programming is preferred.
  • Certification in first aid and CPR is mandatory; advanced certifications (e.g., Wilderness First Responder) are highly valued.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work effectively with diverse groups, including children, teens, and adults.
  • Physically fit and capable of performing the tasks required for ropes course facilitation, including climbing, lifting, and working at heights.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety and risk management.
  • Positive attitude, adaptability, and a team-oriented approach.
  • Ability to pass E-Verify screening.
  • Pass a background check and drug test.
