- Process Development: Develop and implement injection molding processes using scientific techniques, ensuring optimal results and efficiency.
- Experimental Design: Prepare, execute, and analyze experimental designs to improve process capability and reduce costs.
- Documentation: Accurately document the entire processing phase, including testing and analysis results.
- Mold Testing: Participate in mold testing at external vendors to ensure compliance with organizational standards.
- Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot molding processes and equipment issues, implementing corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Tooling Evaluation: Evaluate tooling for quality and efficiency improvements, recommending changes as needed.
- Data Analysis: Collect and analyze data to improve process capability, identifying areas for improvement.
- Training and Development: Support process technicians through training in scientific molding practices, ensuring they have the skills needed to excel in their roles.
- Leadership and Continuous Improvement: Play a leadership role in continuous improvement and cost reduction activities, using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma techniques to analyze process data.
- Equipment Programming: Program robots and peripheral equipment to optimize manufacturing processes.
- Mold Installation and Removal: Install and remove molds, including water connections, ensuring seamless production.
- Education: High School / College Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience in injection molding.
- Knowledge and Skills: Working knowledge and experience with injection molding equipment and materials, deep understanding of thermoplastic materials and their properties, excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, experience with scientific molding approach, Master Molder I / II qualification, previous experience working in a hands-on environment with mold technicians and quality engineers, proficiency in MS Office and statistical software MiniTab.
