Join TEKsystems as a Field Technician, where you will play a crucial role in supporting telecommunications infrastructure. This position involves hands-on work in a dynamic environment, focusing on the installation and maintenance of various systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in the installation of communication devices, including telephones and badge scanners.
- Execute upgrades to computer systems to enhance operational efficiency.
- Construct and maintain splice cases, ensuring proper grounding, bonding, and sealing.
- Adhere to industry standards during all work activities.
- Accurately interpret telecom facility records and maps, recommending improvements to construction methods.
- Maintain comprehensive records of inside and outside plant installations.
- Conduct routine maintenance and address any issues that arise.
- Manage route issues, including maintenance tasks and signage placement.
- Connect and detach various hardware to cables and terminals as required.
- Respond effectively to emergency situations, utilizing heavy construction capabilities.
- Prioritize safety and compliance with all relevant regulations in every task.
- Be prepared to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Complete daily production reports and maintain accurate As-Built documentation.
Compensation will be determined based on experience.
