Position: Assistant Superintendent - Construction

Join a reputable employee-owned organization with a strong culture. Albion General Contractors, Inc. is in search of an Assistant Superintendent who will play a vital role in delivering exceptional client service and ensuring smooth project execution in the field.

Key Responsibilities

The Assistant Superintendent will be responsible for efficiently managing all tasks related to the field execution of contracts assigned to the company. This role may involve overseeing smaller projects within a larger initiative. A comprehensive understanding of the construction process, quality assurance, and safety protocols is essential.

Specific duties include:

  • Participating in the construction process to guarantee that projects are completed according to design specifications, budget constraints, and timelines.
  • Assisting in the coordination of all construction-related activities.
  • Identifying potential challenges on the project and leveraging resources to address them, escalating issues as necessary.
  • Taking charge of subcontractor productivity, optimizing the use of materials and equipment, and ensuring contractual obligations are met.
  • Completing, maintaining, and submitting all necessary reports, logs, and punch lists related to the project.
  • Exhibiting strong leadership abilities and effective communication skills with subcontractors and all stakeholders involved.
  • Ensuring that all safety regulations are communicated and adhered to by all personnel on site.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in a field role within the industrial construction sector. Trade experience is acceptable, with a preference for commercial construction backgrounds.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents.
  • Experience managing multiple subcontractors on projects.
  • Capability to maintain project schedules and ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Solid understanding of the construction process.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook; familiarity with Raken is preferred.
  • Preferred certifications include 10-Hour or 30-Hour OSHA training.
