Position Summary:

As a Project Management Assistant, you will be instrumental in supervising various elements of construction initiatives while showcasing your management and oversight skills. In the absence of the Project Manager, you will take charge of daily operations for each project, ensuring effective and safe execution. By strategically planning, organizing, and controlling projects, you will foster a productive work atmosphere, overseeing both materials and workforce.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete all checklists from the production handbook and document activities through daily logs.
  • Maintain an ongoing list of tasks and activities on the job site.
  • Ensure precise timekeeping by keeping detailed time cards.
  • Regularly review the scope of work and plans for each project.
  • Participate in pre-construction meetings to align with project goals.
  • Submit daily logs promptly on Buildertrend to monitor project progress.
  • Request necessary materials in a timely manner for each project.
  • Verify that all delivered materials and supplies match invoices and are undamaged.
  • Exhibit proficiency in project management functionalities of Buildertrend.
  • Review and adjust project schedules daily to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Keep carpenters and laborers productive through effective supervision and task allocation.
  • Coordinate with inspectors as necessary to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of project scope, plans, and budget.
  • Assist the Project Manager in managing projects effectively.
  • Demonstrate the ability to manage your team's tasks for up to one week in the absence of the manager.
  • Perform general carpentry tasks as required.
  • Uphold a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by adhering to guidelines, standards, and procedures.

Education, Experience, and Skills Required:

  • Strong experience in construction documentation.
  • Proficiency in architectural finishes.
  • Knowledge of building codes and zoning regulations is a plus.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in the construction field.
