We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate House Parent to join our team at HumanWorks Affiliates. As a key member of our residential care team, you will be responsible for providing a safe and supportive living environment for our youth residents.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Implement Individual Service Plans: Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to create and implement personalized plans that meet the unique needs of each resident.
- Provide Daily Living Support: Assist residents with daily tasks, including homework completion, meal preparation, and personal care.
- Manage Household Operations: Oversee the maintenance of our residential facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for all residents.
- Facilitate Social and Recreational Activities: Plan and implement engaging activities that promote socialization, teamwork, and personal growth among residents.
- Monitor and Report Resident Progress: Regularly assess and document resident progress, providing valuable insights to inform treatment and support plans.
- Participate in Team Meetings and Training: Collaborate with our team to share knowledge, best practices, and concerns, ensuring a cohesive and supportive work environment.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent: A minimum educational requirement for this role.
- Experience Working with Children: A proven track record of working with children in a group setting, with a focus on providing care and support.
- Valid Driver's License: A requirement for transporting residents to appointments and activities.
- Physical Ability: The ability to climb stairs, pursue children, and participate in recreational activities.
Our residential facilities provide a safe and supportive environment for our youth residents. As a House Parent, you will be exposed to a variety of situations, including crisis intervention and emergency response. You must be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
