Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator to join our team at Turner & Townsend. As a key member of our cost management team, you will be responsible for providing expert estimating services for large-scale Life Sciences construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of project capital estimates using a bottoms-up approach.
  • Provide cost control and estimating services on our Life Sciences clients' facility capital construction programs.
  • Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and other consultants to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Develop and implement cost management procedures, templates, and products to enhance estimating efficiency.
  • Manage and maintain key relationships with clients, contractors, and project teams.
  • Provide leadership to cost management teams, ensuring delivery on all accountabilities.
  • Conduct detailed comparative analysis of commercial submittals from contractors.
  • Support post-contract cost analysis and change order reviews.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 8 years' experience working in a construction cost management/estimating role.
  • Minimum of 5+ years post-graduate experience preparing large-scale Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) construction cost estimates.
  • College and/or post-graduate degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a field related to construction.
  • RICS accredited/AACE or working towards is valuable, but not required.
  • Experience working on large-scale Life Sciences projects or similar.
  • Experience of leading cost management on medium or large-sized construction projects of medium to high complexity.
  • Good knowledge of construction industry technical matters, such as different procurement routes, value management, and value engineering.
  • US experience is strongly desirable.
