Ambulatory Pharmacy Technician II Role

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician II to join our team at Cambridge Health Alliance. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining patient profiles, registering patients, and entering prescription orders into our computer system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately create and maintain patient profiles of health- and insurance-related information in the pharmacy computer system.
- Register patients as required and enter prescription orders into the computer systems.
- Assist patients, family members, and employees who drop off prescriptions, setting appropriate pick-up expectations.
- Assist Ambulatory Pharmacists in filling prescription orders, compounding non-sterile products, dispensing prescriptions, and offering counseling.
- Handle phone calls from patients and healthcare providers, performing other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or G.E.D. certificate required.
- MA Pharmacy Technician license required.
- Current pharmacy technician registration in good standing from the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Pharmacy or eligibility for registration in MA.
- Completion of a Board of Pharmacy-approved certifying body pharmacy technician certification examination preferred.
- Minimum one year of experience as a pharmacy technician preferred.
