As a Bus Driver, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe transportation of passengers, adhering to strict schedules, and maintaining the cleanliness and maintenance of the bus. You will also be required to handle emergency situations and report any incidents or accidents promptly.

Responsibilities
  • Safely operate a school bus on designated routes in accordance with time schedules
  • Transport students, teachers, and others on school field or activity trips
  • Conduct daily pre-trip inspections to ensure the bus is in good working order
  • Clean and refuel the bus as needed
  • Ensure communication devices are in proper working order before each trip
  • Report any mechanical deficiencies, traffic violations, or accidents
  • Maintain order and discipline among students being transported
  • Track route timing and establish route efficiency
  • Submit records and reports as required
Requirements
  • Certification/License: Current Commercial Driver's License (CDL), Motor Vehicle Operator's (DMV) License, CPR certificate
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience: Successful prior experience working as a bus driver, preferably in a school district or transporting children
Working Conditions

As a Bus Driver, you will work in a standard school bus environment and may be required to travel to various locations within the district. You must be able to maintain composure and perform responsibilities under pressure and in cases of accidents or other emergencies.

Salary

The estimated salary for this position is $50,000 - $70,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
