Transportation Specialist

This position is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe transportation of students, staff, and others within the Humboldt County School District.

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving a school bus on designated routes, transporting students to and from school, residential neighborhoods, and field trips. Additionally, you will inspect the assigned bus daily to ensure it is in good working order, clean, and safe for passengers.

You will also be required to perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning and refueling the bus, reporting any mechanical issues or accidents, and arranging for repairs when necessary. Furthermore, you will maintain discipline among students during transportation and report any incidents according to district policies.

• Drive a school bus on designated routes safely and efficiently

• Report any mechanical issues or accidents to the Bus Foreman
• Maintain discipline among students during transportation
• Report any incidents according to district policies

• Certification/License: Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and Motor Vehicle Operator's License
• Education: High School Diploma or GED
• Experience: Successful prior experience working as a bus driver, preferably in a school district or transporting children

In return for your dedication and expertise, we offer a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes health, dental, and vision insurance, as well as retirement savings plan options.
