We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Transportation Specialist to join our team at Humboldt County School District. The ideal candidate will have a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and experience driving a school bus.


Job Summary">

The Transportation Specialist will be responsible for safely transporting students, staff, and others to and from school, residential neighborhoods, and field trips. This includes ensuring the bus is in good working condition, following traffic laws, and maintaining order and discipline among students.


Key Responsibilities">
  • Safely drive a school bus on designated routes in accordance with time schedules and load/unload students at designated locations.
  • Transport students, teachers, and others on school field or activity trips.
  • Inspect the assigned bus daily to ensure it is in good working order.
  • Clean and refuel the bus as needed.
  • Maintain records and reports as required.

Requirements">
  • A valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Successful prior experience working as a bus driver
