Career Transition Readiness Specialist/Career Transition Admin

Join Career Systems in making a difference in the lives of young adults between the ages of 16-24. As a Career Transition Readiness Specialist/Career Transition Admin, you will play a crucial role in coordinating the administrative aspects of Career Readiness candidates' commitment to enrollment prior to their entry into the Career Preparation Period.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that all potential enrollees assigned to the Career Readiness Program are assessed for accountability and participation in accordance with Center, Corporate and Regional standards.
  • Meet with Career Transition and Center staff weekly to report on Career Readiness candidates' daily participation and commitment to program.
  • Assist students with resume development, job search strategies, and utilize labor market information (LMI) and other resources to develop placement support efforts tailored to meet the needs and qualification of each individual student.
  • Maintain a safe environment for all computer equipment, data files, supplies, etc.
  • Assist Career Transition staff with ensuring students receive their separation checks.
Requirements:
  • Minimum: High School Diploma/ High School Equivalency. One year's work-related experience.
  • Knowledge of education and vocational training programs.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with and relate to disadvantaged youth.
  • Working knowledge of computer systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
