About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Transportation Engineer to join our team at Iteris. This role involves performing transportation or traffic engineering work primarily in traffic signal systems management, operations, and signal coordination and timing studies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing transportation or traffic engineering work on traffic signal timing studies, signal systems management, and operations
  • Developing ITS plans, specifications, budget estimates, and reports
  • Performing travel time runs, collecting and interpreting travel time data
  • Developing existing condition and optimized condition models in Synchro
  • Implementing new traffic signal timing plans at field locations
  • Adjusting signal timing at field locations based on field traffic conditions
  • Collecting traffic signal/ITS equipment inventory
  • Conducting traffic engineering studies, traffic impact analyses, traffic operation, and safety studies
  • Developing ITS plans and specifications, systems engineering analysis, reports, and budget estimates

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Transportation Planning, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • PE license in Texas
  • PTOE, IMSA Certifications preferred
  • Over five years of ITS/traffic engineering experience
  • Over five years of experience with traffic system design, operations, and signal timing studies
  • Familiarity with ITS planning and Plans, Specifications & Estimate (PS&E) development

Salary Range: $95,000 - $106,000 per year
