Job Summary

As a Certified Medical Assistant/Licensed Practical Nurse at Licking Memorial Health Systems (LMHS), you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care in our Women's Health department. Our team is passionate about delivering compassionate and personalized care to our patients, and we are seeking a dedicated and skilled professional to join our team.

Responsibilities
  • Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and OB/GYN provider, you will perform patient care activities, including completing patient intake and discharge, collecting and processing routine specimens, and assisting with procedures.
  • You will also be responsible for informing healthcare providers of patient symptoms, reactions, and progress, and documenting information in the electronic medical record.
  • As a member of our team, you will demonstrate excellent guest relation skills, interpersonal skills, and team values, and maintain patient, staff, and corporate confidentiality.
  • You will also be required to perform other duties as requested by your supervisor.

Requirements
  • You must be able to read, write, and follow verbal or written instructions.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and a Medical Assistant certification is preferred upon hire or required within six months of hire date.
  • You must also be able to demonstrate knowledge, skill, and ability to perform phlebotomy, vital signs, glucometer, urinalysis, urine pregnancy, specimen collection, and preparation as applicable to the practice setting.
  • Competency with personal computer usage and medical record documentation is also required.
