Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will:
- Deliver direct patient care in accordance with the guidelines set forth by the State Board of Nursing and organizational policies.
- Assist healthcare professionals with various patient care tasks as needed.
- Monitor and report changes in patient conditions to the appropriate nursing staff.
- Respond to patient needs promptly, ensuring effective communication with the healthcare team.
- Support patients and their families in addressing emotional and cultural needs.
- Assist patients with daily living activities, including mobility, hygiene, and personal care.
- Participate in patient admission processes while maintaining confidentiality and respect for patient dignity.
- Perform technical procedures such as Electrocardiograms (EKGs) and Capillary Blood Glucose (CBG) monitoring as directed.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to foster positive relationships with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Engage in quality assurance activities, manage supplies, and ensure cleanliness of equipment.
- Adhere to safety protocols, infection control measures, and organizational standards.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, you should possess:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Current certification as a Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) in New Hampshire.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and record-keeping.
- Current BLS certification, to be obtained within the orientation period.
- Commitment to maintaining BLS certification throughout your employment.
