Job Summary

The CT Technologist PRN performs CT scans, providing exceptional customer service and image quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform CT exams following protocols and in a timely manner, ensuring high-quality care.
  • Prepare procedure trays with appropriate supplies.
  • Take patient history and retrieve necessary orders or prior images.
  • Provide patient history/signs/symptoms appropriate to the exam to the radiologist.
  • Complete documentation accurately.
  • Coordinate patient flow and check the daily list to ensure all exams are complete.
  • Support ALARA principles.
  • Inform patients about procedures and answer questions.
  • Interact and professionally communicate with physicians, patients, and family members.
  • Start IVs for contrast administration.
  • Use the power injector.
  • Contribute to after-hour coverage through on-call shift rotations.
  • Maintain licenses, certifications, and accreditations required as outlined in job qualifications.
  • Handle daily upkeep of departmental work areas (cleaning, stocking, etc.).
  • Promote customer service initiatives by adhering to ICARE values.
  • Support and participate in quality (QI) and performance improvement (PI) plans.
  • Comply with quarterly targeted metrics.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment, and care of patients appropriate to the ages of patients served.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology.
  • Current ARRT certification with advanced registry, or registry eligible with advanced CT certification within 1 year of hire or within 6 months of eligibility.
  • 1 year post-graduate experience preferred.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Ability to work as needed or PRN at our Freestanding ER in Spring Hill.
