Job Title: Sleep Technologist

Join our team at Truman Medical Centers as a Sleep Technologist, where you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the advancement of sleep medicine.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sleep Technologist to work in our Sleep Center. As a Sleep Technologist, you will be responsible for performing overnight polysomnograms and other complex procedures, working closely with Registered Sleep Technologists and physicians board certified in Sleep Medicine.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform overnight polysomnograms and other complex procedures under medical supervision.
  • Work in a busy Sleep Center, collaborating with a team of healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care.
  • Conduct sleep studies, including CPAP titration and scoring, and stage recognition.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient data and study results.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest sleep medicine techniques and technologies.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of a STAR-designated Self-Study education program or a CAAHEP or CoARC-accredited polysomnography education program.
  • Successful completion of all requirements for registry exam and registry in polysomnography within 6 months.
  • Maintain BCLS for continued employment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Computer knowledge.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • RPSGT/RST eligible, CNA, PCT/A, RMA, CMA, NRCMA, CCMA, or other BRPT Accepted Allied Health Credential.
  • One or more years of clinical experience with direct patient care.
  • Experience in sleep data collection, CPAP titration and scoring, and stage recognition.
  • MSLT and MWT experience.
