Role Overview

The Stepping Stones Group is seeking an experienced Education Specialist to support students with special needs in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Job Description
  • Position: Education Specialist - Special Education Teacher
  • Location: Santa Fe, New Mexico
Key Responsibilities

As an Education Specialist with The Stepping Stones Group, you will work closely with general education teachers, therapists, and families to promote student success and integration into educational settings. Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and implementing tailored instructional methods to enhance learning for students with diverse needs
  • Conducting assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instructional approaches as needed
  • Fostering a supportive classroom environment that encourages respect, empathy, and self-confidence among students
Qualifications
  • Degree: Master's degree in Special Education from an accredited institution
  • Certification/License: Valid state license or certification for Special Education Teaching through NMPED
  • Experience: Demonstrated experience working with children and adolescents in a school setting, with a strong emphasis on supporting those with special needs
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive compensation package, including:

  • Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week
