Job Summary



The Occupational Therapist Pool position at Santa Fe Public Schools is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated occupational therapist to provide services to eligible students with disabilities in a school setting.



Key Responsibilities




  • Provide occupational therapy services to eligible students with disabilities to promote academic and functional skills.
  • Perform assessments, consultations, and therapy to identify and address motor deficits resulting from physical disabilities or health impairments.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement therapy plans that support students' academic and personal goals.
  • Assist in equipment adaptation and adjustment to ensure students have access to necessary tools and resources.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of students' progress and outcomes.


Requirements




  • Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure from the New Mexico licensing board and New Mexico Public Education Department Therapist license.
  • At least five years of relevant experience in occupational therapy, preferably in a school setting.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English, preferred.


Working Conditions




  • Work in typical school settings, including offices, classrooms, and other areas as needed.
  • Frequent walking, sitting, standing, and reaching, with occasional climbing, kneeling, and transporting up to 50 pounds.
  • High concentration and mental attention required to effectively provide services to students.


Salary



Salary will be based on verified years of experience and education, with a level 2 teacher salary of $60,000 and a level 3 teacher salary of $70,000.
