Position Overview
SAIC is on the lookout for a Senior Capture Manager to spearhead growth and capture initiatives within the Space and Intelligence Business Group. This role entails overseeing and managing one (1) to three (3) pursuits, taking full ownership and accountability for the maturation of proposed solutions through the Corporate Business Development and Capture Management Processes. This includes strategy formulation, competitive evaluations, partnership development, and pricing strategies to create compliant and compelling proposals.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, qualify, and direct initial capture activities to build a robust pipeline that aligns with the growth objectives of the Space Business Group. Lead strategic engagements with USSF and shape growth strategies to secure new business awards in the Defense Space sector.
- Possess a well-rounded skill set and experience in capturing development and integration programs for space platforms and ground systems, particularly with USSF customers.
- Provide leadership in executing effective capture plans, adhering to established internal processes and utilizing standard tools with a focus on win strategies, themes, and value propositions.
- Manage and lead capture teams effectively, ensuring clear communication of resource needs and collaboration with subject matter experts and functional leads for solution and proposal development.
- Gather, assess, and validate customer requirements while evaluating probable competition and conducting competitive assessments.
- Translate customer requirements into a robust win strategy, ensuring it is tested and validated before advancing to management and technical design.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to maintain operational excellence, resolve conflicts, and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Identify gaps and develop strategies to mitigate risks and enhance competitive advantages.
- Conduct and participate in various reviews, documenting lessons learned to inform future efforts.
- Negotiate teaming agreements and manage assigned captures as the opportunity owner.
- Drive the development of critical bid artifacts necessary for proposal development, ensuring the integrity of the win strategy through participation in color reviews.
- Assume accountability for advancing opportunities toward high win probability while managing budgets and schedules.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 18 years of experience in capture management or related business roles within the Civil/Commercial and/or Space sectors.
- Must be a US citizen and eligible for a TS clearance.
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field, with extensive experience considered in lieu of a degree.
- Demonstrated success in the capture process and a thorough understanding of various contract types and payment structures.
- Ability to execute quick reaction processes for proposals with tight deadlines.
- Strong influencing skills and the ability to interact at the highest corporate levels.
- Proficient in capture management practices and excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Experience communicating with senior executives and thriving in fast-paced, multi-tasking environments.
- Willingness to travel as necessary to support capture efforts.
Compensation
The target salary range for this position is $200,001 - $240,000, reflecting the typical range based on experience and other factors.
