We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Raytheon. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting the sustainment of rugged military electronics.
Key Responsibilities- Design and Development: Design and develop electronic systems, sub-systems, modules, circuit card assemblies, printed wiring boards, and interconnects. Support RF, digital, power, and mixed technology products.
- Sustainment Support: Provide sustainment support for released products, including identifying, reviewing, assessing, and resolving issues encountered throughout a product's life cycle.
- Teaming and Communication: Interface with other engineering disciplines, non-technical disciplines, and suppliers to develop design solutions and resolve technical challenges. Work with limited supervision and meet commitments for assigned schedule, financial, and technical goals.
- Mentorship: Mentor and guide less experienced engineers.
- Education: Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience OR an Advanced degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years' experience.
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years designing and developing mechanical equipment, preferably for use in Military environments. Experience with design and production support, 3D CAD design tools, and related product data management tools.
- Security Clearance: The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Military and Commercial Specifications: Working knowledge of Military and Commercial Specifications.
- Design and Fabrication: Experience in design, fabrication, and integration of electronic assemblies, shelter assemblies, power distribution equipment packaging, and rack system.
- ECAD Development: Familiarity with ECAD development process.
- Reliability Analysis: Reliability or failure analysis experience.
- CAD Design Tools: Experience using CREO CAD design and documentation tools.
- Configuration Management: Familiarity with Configuration and Data Management.
