About the Role

The Housekeeping Assistant is a vital member of our team at Ecumen, responsible for maintaining our facilities in a clean, sanitary, and attractive condition. This role is crucial in providing a pleasant living environment for our residents and an organized, safe working environment for our staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Perform cleaning tasks in accordance with community policies and department standards, including sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, washing, waxing, and sanitizing areas as assigned.
  • Maintenance and Safety: Maintain all assigned areas in a safe manner, reporting any maintenance or safety concerns to the supervisor or member of the leadership team.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Follow all regulatory compliance standards, including Vulnerable Adult and Abuse Policy, HIPAA, Resident's Bill of Rights, Universal Precaution, AWAIR, OSHA, Right to know, SDS, ADA, HUD Policy and Procedures, and Fair Housing laws and regulations.
  • Supply Management: Maintain equipment and supply levels as needed, reporting supply/equipment needs to the supervisor.
  • Resident Support: Assist with any resident need, as applicable.
Requirements
  • Age Requirement: Must be 16 years of age or older.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Safety Knowledge: Ability to follow all safety rules, regulations, policies, and procedures of the facility.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Previous housekeeping experience and previous experience working with seniors.
