Pricing Coordinator Job Description

The Pricing Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting the Pricing objectives of Johnstone Supply. This position is responsible for providing data entry support to the Pricing, Vendor, and Product Management areas to ensure accurate data entry, product file maintenance, and customer file support related to Pricing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supports the Pricing Department through efficient and accurate data entry and file review.
  • Performs data entry for the Pricing department, ensuring the data integrity of product files and records for consistent and accurate data.
  • Responds timely to requests and tickets, providing customer support and excellent customer service.
  • Responsible for applying contracts to customers.
  • Exports data and syncs data to Johnstone Supply Product File.
  • Reviews and processes pricing and other related changes to ensure accurate product files.
  • Supports vendor-related tasks, including setting up new items within the supply chain.
  • Supports automated processes for updating the product file, attributes, pricing matrices, and other associated processes.
  • Applies established standards and processes in performing data entry for the department.
  • Generates reports, provides analysis, and assists with projects as assigned.
Internal and External Relationships:

The Pricing Coordinator interfaces, confers, and communicates daily with supervisor, department colleagues, Pricing, Marketing, Vendor Management, IT, and Accounts Payable department personnel, and branch personnel. The position also interfaces and communicates with relevant Johnstone Supply representatives at the Corporate office and vendors and vendor partners.

Decision Making:

Decision making is limited to the scope and breadth of individual responsibilities based on standard operating procedures within the department. Changes to standardized procedures must first be approved by the department management.

Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Proficiency in data entry with ability to upload files into multiple systems.
  • Strong mathematical skills required.
  • Able to demonstrate competency across primary Microsoft Office software products required. Strong Excel and database skills required.
  • Attention to accuracy and high ability of detail orientation.
  • Previous experience in data entry or pricing support is beneficial.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral, with ability to communicate proficiently in English in both formats.
