Key Responsibilities
  • Train and supervise sterile processing technicians to ensure compliance with established protocols.
  • Assist with scheduling staff and serve as a resource to the team.
  • Collect, decontaminate, assemble, sterilize, and distribute instruments, supplies, and equipment needed for patient care.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Handle medications in the process of assembling instrument trays for sterilization and distribution to nursing units.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Two years of experience as a Hospital Central Sterile Supply Technician required.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience and excellent customer service skills required.
  • IAHCSMM, CBSP, or CST certification required.
