About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Direct Support Professional. As a key member of our care team, you will provide personalized support and assistance to adults with disabilities, enabling them to lead fulfilling lives and contribute to their communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide consistent care and assistance to individuals with disabilities in their own homes, including personal care and support with daily living skills.
  • Assist with program strategies and recreation activities in the home and community, promoting socialization and independence.
  • Monitor and support safety for individuals with disabilities, following care plans and administering medications as needed.
  • Provide crisis management and intervention for medical needs, behaviors, and other daily support challenges.
  • Support meal planning, cooking, and other preparations in accordance with dietary and nutritional guidelines.
  • Assist with money management, shopping, and purchasing for individual's personal needs and supplies.
  • Provide safe transportation into the community, including driving an oversize multi-passenger van (training provided).
Requirements
  • State Medication Administration Certification (Group Home Workers Only)
  • First Aid for Accidents
  • CPR - Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation
  • PMT - Physical Management Techniques (Group Home Workers Only)
