The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Washington is dedicated to sharing the light of the Gospel of Jesus Christ throughout the community.

In alignment with this mission, we are in search of a Facilities Operations Supervisor to enhance our facilities management at St. Mary of the Mills.

The ideal candidate will take charge of the upkeep, repair, and overall management of our facilities. The Facilities Operations Supervisor will ensure that our environments are secure, functional, and meticulously maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the upkeep and repair of all facilities, encompassing HVAC systems, electrical frameworks, and mechanical apparatus.
  • Oversee and maintain all facilities equipment and systems.
  • Directly manage the facilities team.
  • Formulate and execute preventative maintenance strategies to reduce downtime and prolong the lifespan of facilities assets.
  • Employ a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to monitor and manage maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors to guarantee prompt and cost-effective repairs and maintenance.
  • Develop and oversee budgets for facilities maintenance and repair initiatives.
  • Ensure adherence to all pertinent safety and health regulations and standards.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to facilities personnel.
  • Execute additional responsibilities as necessary to ensure effective facilities management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business/Management, or a related discipline.
Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education; a high school diploma or GED is required.

  • At least two (2) years of experience in commercial facilities maintenance and/or construction/trade sectors.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems.
  • Capability to fabricate and install various facilities equipment and systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management and financial planning.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week.
