Production Manager

A key role in our organization, the Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the smooth operation of the production line. This involves coordinating schedules, managing materials, and working with cross-functional teams to ensure production meets quality standards and delivery deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production Planning & Scheduling: Collaborate with the Production Manager to develop daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules in line with customer demands and manufacturing capabilities.
- Material Management: Ensure the availability of raw materials, components, and supplies for uninterrupted production. Monitor inventory and work with purchasing and logistics to prevent shortages.
- Workflow Coordination: Oversee production processes, monitor work orders, and adjust schedules as needed to maintain efficiency and meet production targets.
- Quality Assurance: Partner with the Quality Assurance team to ensure products meet or exceed quality standards, addressing production-related issues that may impact quality.
- Communication & Collaboration: Act as the primary contact between production, engineering, logistics, and other departments. Communicate production progress, delays, or issues to key stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve production bottlenecks or issues that could affect deadlines or quality. Implement corrective actions to improve efficiency.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of production data, such as work orders, inventory, downtime, and performance. Prepare reports for management on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in lean manufacturing initiatives, support 5S and Six Sigma methodologies, and suggest improvements to enhance production efficiency and minimize waste.
Requirements:
- Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field preferred. 3+ years of experience in production coordination or a similar role, ideally in a Tier-1 automotive manufacturing environment.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials planning, and supply chain management. Proficient in ERP/MRP systems and production scheduling software. Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies. Familiarity with automotive industry quality standards (e.g., IATF 16949).
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work well under pressure.
