Job Title: Digital Video Producer II

The Digital Video Producer II - Podcast is a key member of the ESPN team responsible for creating engaging content for various audio and video podcasts. This role involves working closely with the podcast leadership team, talent, and digital audio/video business stakeholders to develop and produce high-quality content.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and advance ideas and concepts for daily productions and long-term planning.
  • Understand and execute ESPN content priorities in planning episodes and integrating with other ESPN platforms.
  • Supervise the compilation and editing of materials necessary for production on all relevant platforms.
  • Collaborate with ESPN colleagues to develop compelling multi-platform content.
  • Develop and maintain thorough knowledge of sports stories, trends, and newsmakers.
  • Identify and book relevant guests for show appearances.
  • Assist in the recruitment and development of guest talent.
  • Develop editorial guidelines for on-air commentators.
  • Work with sales and marketing teams to ensure fit and fulfillment of ad inventory within shows.
  • Develop segments and ideas for sales opportunities.
  • Develop overall audience development strategy for shows in concert with the podcast leadership team.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in podcast, digital, or broadcast production.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing a team and direct reports.
  • Expertise with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Premiere, Photoshop, and After Effects.
  • Experience with remote recording software such as Zoom, Squadcast, or Riverside.
  • Experience as a solo field producer.
  • Experience with DSLR cameras.
  • Experience in news and journalism.
Education:
  • High School Education.
  • Preferred Education: Undergraduate or graduate degree.
