About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Adjunct Faculty member to join our team at Rasmussen University. As a Residential Adjunct Instructor, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality education to our students in the field of Surgical Technology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching and Curriculum Development: Develop and deliver engaging and effective teaching strategies to promote student learning and success.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Demonstrate mastery and ability to articulate and relate to students, with a focus on surgical technology and related procedures.
  • Student Support and Outreach: Provide support and guidance to students through synchronous and asynchronous communication, helping them achieve their learning objectives.
  • Faculty Meetings and Professional Development: Attend events, programmatic meetings, and committee work as agreed upon and/or designated by the Dean, and engage in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and subject matter expertise.
Requirements
  • Education and Certifications: Associate's degree in Surgical Technology or Surgical Nurse, and active, unrestricted CST or CST/CSFA certification.
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in the operating room scrub role, as an instructor in surgical technology, or a combination of both, within the past 5 years.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Strong interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision.
