Kern Community College District is seeking a part-time adjunct instructor to teach health careers courses. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering curriculum, assessing student learning outcomes, and participating in departmental and college activities.
Key Responsibilities- Teach health careers courses, including online and on-campus classes
- Develop and revise curriculum to meet the needs of students and the college
- Assess student learning outcomes and provide feedback to students
- Participate in departmental and college activities, including recruitment and articulation efforts
- Communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and administrators
- Bachelor's degree and 2 years of related professional experience, or
- Associate's degree and 6 years of related professional experience, or
- The equivalent combination of education and experience
- Master's degree in a related field
- Experience teaching health careers courses
- Knowledge of curriculum development and assessment
- Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations
The successful candidate will be expected to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, communicate effectively with students and colleagues, and maintain subject matter currency.
