Job Summary

The Operations Manager will lead teams and plan and execute operations at their assigned location or business unit, ensuring all operations are conducted in a safe, compliant, and efficient manner. This role will be responsible for managing resources, developing and implementing operational strategies, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support to management and employees, including site evaluations and preparation of inclusive quotes.
  • Operational Planning: Develop and implement operational plans, including budget development and management of operating and capital expenditure budgets.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including hazardous waste management and environmental permits.
  • Community Relations: Maintain positive relationships with local communities, including government agencies and regulatory bodies.
  • Employee Management: Supervise employees, including interviewing, hiring, training, and performance management.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as environmental science, business administration, or engineering.
  • Experience: 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in environmental services, including hazardous waste management and regulatory compliance.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and make independent decisions.
  • Certifications: Possession of relevant certifications, such as OSHA or EPA certifications.
