Job Summary

The Operations Manager will lead teams and oversee operations at assigned locations or business units, ensuring all activities are conducted in a safe, compliant, and efficient manner. This role requires strong leadership and technical skills, with a focus on managing resources, controlling costs, and driving operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Provide technical support to management and employees
    • Participate in site evaluations and prepare inclusive quotes
    • Make recommendations for improvement in workflow and project management
  • Operational Excellence
    • Ensure operations are properly staffed and personnel are properly trained
    • Participate in budget development and manage operating and capital expenditure budgets
    • Develop and monitor applicable metrics to measure operational objectives
  • Regulatory Compliance
    • Ensure operations are in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
    • Work with governmental and regulatory agencies and maintain community relations
  • Employee Development
    • Mentor and train employees
    • Supervise employees and carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws
Requirements
  • 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in environmental services or a related field
  • Knowledge of hazardous waste management and complex regulations specific to the environmental waste industry
  • 3 years of supervisor experience
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and exercise independent judgment
  • Knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint applications
