Job Description

Syntricate Technologies is seeking a skilled Market Data Operations Specialist to join our team in New York. This role involves maintaining the efficiency of our market data operations and supporting the growth of our global financial market initiatives.

This position plays a crucial role in upholding our commitment to excellence and ensuring client satisfaction in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Key responsibilities include:

  • Technical Support: Provide support for market data infrastructure and customers, ensuring the efficient delivery of data to and from major vendors.
  • Customer Service: Deliver high-quality customer service, ensuring that reported issues are addressed promptly and professionally.
  • Incident Management: Manage and prioritize busy incident management and request queues, collaborating with global teams to ensure timely resolution.
  • Data Management: Perform data entry for customer data onboarding and classification of financial instruments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with predefined criteria.
  • Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor and troubleshoot data systems, utilizing Linux & Windows skills to interrogate log files and collaborate with network and infrastructure teams to diagnose and resolve production issues.
  • Reporting: Generate weekly incident and request reports to track performance and identify areas for improvement.

  • Strong Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Customer Service Expertise: Customer service expertise to deliver professional and efficient support, along with strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with both internal teams and clients.
  • Electronic Trading Experience: Experience with electronic trading platforms in Fixed Income or Foreign Exchange.
  • SQL Skills: SQL skills to query databases for the retrieval of large historical datasets.
  • Scripting Skills: Scripting skills to automate using Python, Shell scripts, and PowerShell.
  • Familiarity with Time Series Databases: Familiarity with time series databases like OneTick or KDB, and monitoring systems, like ITRS.

Salary: $125K-$135k base
