Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Signal Transmission and Encoding Specialist to join our team at WarnerMedia Services, LLC.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to work in a dynamic environment where they will be responsible for setting up, configuring, and testing new transport systems as well as maintaining existing ones. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills and experience with signal transmission, compression, and encoding.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and configure new transport systems, including troubleshooting and repair of equipment and systems
  • Maintain existing transport systems, ensuring high-quality signals and content are transmitted
  • Provide documentation of signal flow and procedures to support workflow
  • Participate in 24/7 shift coverage and provide Tier 1 support for all compression-related issues and incidents
Requirements
  • 5-8 years of experience in compression engineering or equivalent
  • 4-year technical degree or 2-year technical degree with equivalent experience
  • Understanding of networking/routing protocols, including UDP, unicast, multicast
  • Knowledge of video standards related to transport, such as SD/HDSDI, ASI, IP, and other compression formats
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Visio
  • MPEG encoding systems experience
  • Familiarity with Cisco, Arris, and Harmonic equipment
Desirable Skills
  • Experience with studio, network operations, and digital television distribution
  • IT data certifications
  • Cable TV and IPTV experience
  • Remote monitoring and control system experience (SNMP based)
  • Good working knowledge of MPEG-2, MPEG-4, J2K, multiplexes, and conditional access
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $80,000-$110,000 per year, depending on experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
