Anesthesiologist Opportunity in Cortland, NY

Join our team of experienced anesthesiologists at Guthrie Cortland Medical Center, where you will have the opportunity to practice in a hospital with four operating rooms. Our Anesthesia Care Team Model ensures a collaborative and supportive environment. You will have a broad spectrum of cases, excluding cardiac, thoracic, and neurosurgery, with a focus on Regional Anesthesia. The anesthesia department manages the OR schedule, allowing you to focus on your cases 75% of the time and medically directing CRNAs or teaching Residents 25% of the time. Our robust EHR system, EPIC, is a top 1% of EPIC organizations, providing you with the tools you need to succeed.
Work-Life Balance:
Enjoy a limited call schedule and generous paid time off annually, in addition to holidays and sick time. This allows you to maintain a healthy work-life balance and recharge outside of work.
Comprehensive Compensation and Benefits:
Our total annual compensation package ranges from $454,000 to $540,000, including full benefits such as medical, dental, vision, and disability insurance. We also offer malpractice/liability insurance, including tail coverage, and a Guthrie retirement savings plan (403B) with employer match and age-based contributions. Additionally, you will receive an allowance for licensure fees, DEA certification, and renewals. Refer a physician to our team and receive a $10,000 referral bonus if they are hired on a full-time basis, or $20,000 if they are an Anesthesiologist.
Career Development:
Take advantage of 14 days of meeting time, with options for home study, and $3,400 annually for conference registration, certifications, and membership fees for specialty-specific medical societies. You will also have opportunities for teaching, with Guthrie having seven residency programs, including the Anesthesiology Residency. Physician mentoring and leadership training opportunities are available to support your career growth.

Guthrie Cortland Medical Center is a 162-bed acute care facility with an attached 80-bed residential care facility, joining the Guthrie healthcare system in January 2019.
