Job OverviewPOSITION SUMMARY

CSG Consultants Inc. is a well-established and thriving employee-owned civil engineering and municipal services consulting firm seeking a qualified Junior Civil Engineer to join our Engineering Design team. This full-time, hybrid position offers opportunities for professionals in various locations across California. The Junior Civil Engineer will engage in professional engineering design tasks associated with the planning, design, construction, and upkeep of diverse public works initiatives. Responsibilities include designing public works projects, collaborating with project personnel, and offering technical assistance to both internal and external stakeholders.

Note: We are only considering candidates residing locally or within the State of California. Relocation expenses are not covered.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop plans, specifications, and cost estimates for public works projects.
  • Conduct complex engineering tasks for public works projects under minimal supervision, ensuring adherence to technical standards and regulatory compliance.
  • Facilitate project coordination among all stakeholders, including project teams, field staff, agency representatives, utility providers, other consultants, and contractors.
  • Collaborate closely with project teams.
  • Perform additional related duties as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • A minimum of 4 years of progressive engineering experience.
  • Possession of a current California EIT License or PE License is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Demonstrated success in completing roadway engineering projects, such as pavement rehabilitation, complete streets, bicycle/pedestrian facilities, intersections, safe routes to schools, drainage, and utility design.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D software.
  • Valid Class 'C' California driver's license is required.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
  • Occasional travel to job sites.
  • Extended periods of sitting or standing.
  • Prolonged computer use in a seated position.
  • Working with detailed documentation.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines and projects.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The salary range for this position is $80,000 to $153,000 annually.

Compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
