COMPENSATION: Based on experience and qualifications.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide oversight and assistance for youth in shelter care and reception facilities. The ideal candidate will deliver direct client support, establish and model appropriate boundaries, and instruct on relevant coping and problem-solving techniques. Complete necessary reports and documentation.
QUALIFICATIONS: For the Youth Support Specialist role, a Bachelor's degree in a behavioral or social science field is preferred; alternatively, post-secondary education combined with at least one year of experience working with children, or an equivalent mix of education and experience. For the Residential Support Advocate position, a high school diploma or GED is preferred, along with experience working with youth.
Applicants must be at least 21 years old and capable of completing orientation training as per agency program standards. Successful completion of all agency background checks is required, including checks for criminal convictions related to child endangerment, domestic violence, and drug or sexual offenses. A valid driver's license and the ability to achieve approved driver status are also necessary.
