About the Role:
Kent is seeking a Project Engineering Manager to lead engineering efforts for small to mid-sized projects. This role involves providing strategic direction and oversight for engineering execution, ensuring the engineering team meets performance expectations and project objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee engineering activities from early Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) through detailed design and construction.
  • Define project scope, prepare estimates, and develop schedules.
  • Facilitate collaboration among engineering disciplines to identify critical tasks and support project execution.
  • Foster a positive project culture in partnership with the Project Manager.
  • Lead engineering planning sessions to align schedules and milestones.
  • Manage the project engineering schedule and ensure proper sequencing of tasks.
  • Promote open communication within the engineering team to address issues and drive resolutions.
  • Ensure health, safety, and environmental considerations are integrated into designs.
  • Prepare and review scopes of work for third-party contracts.
  • Coordinate interfaces among engineering disciplines and with procurement and construction teams.
  • Implement Change Management procedures to manage project scope deviations.
  • Conduct design reviews and ensure all comments and action items are addressed.
  • Mentor engineering staff, providing guidance and technical expertise.
  • Analyze project challenges and recommend effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with Discipline Leads to ensure adequate staffing for project commitments.
  • Recommend improvements in engineering standards to enhance quality and reduce costs.
  • Stay updated on new engineering processes and standards.
  • Manage multiple office project execution as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Your Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering with at least 20 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, including 15 years in a Project Engineering Manager or Project Engineer role.
  • Proven experience managing mid to large-scale EPC projects.
  • Familiarity with Front End Engineering Design and construction processes for process facilities.
  • Relevant experience in petrochemical or polyethylene projects is preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is desirable.
  • Experience with multiple office project execution is essential.
Communication Skills:
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and coordinate effectively.
Core Competencies:
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to perform under pressure.
