We are in search of a Senior Internal Auditor who possesses a robust understanding of processes, risks, and controls, is willing to embrace innovative technologies and auditing techniques, and can effectively influence the Finance department at PagerDuty.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


Assist the internal audit team and the organization in enhancing and executing financial and IT controls, which includes design, documentation, testing, evaluation, and reporting.

Examine the organization's processes, operations, risks, and controls. Plan, gather, analyze, and scrutinize business information to facilitate process enhancements and ensure adherence to laws and regulations.
Conduct process walkthroughs of various business and IT cycles and evaluate the efficiency of the processes and controls.
Create and maintain process and testing documentation while performing control testing with consistent quality. This involves effectively tracking and monitoring deficiencies and following up on the status of remediation plans.

Identify, suggest, and implement necessary enhancements to accounting policies/procedures and internal business controls to boost overall operational efficiency.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
A minimum of 3 years of experience in SOX compliance and auditing.
Experience in public accounting.
Possession of a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), CIA, CISA, or a local equivalent credential.

A proactive self-starter and collaborative team member with meticulous attention to detail, a curious mindset, and strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for this role, as we operate globally in distributed teams.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Demonstrated understanding of the COSO framework, Sarbanes-Oxley requirements, financial reporting risks, internal controls, and US GAAP.
Strong technical accounting capabilities and overall business insight.
Ability to adapt to change and uncertainty in a fast-paced, high-tech, high-growth global environment.
