Job Overview:

The SC Department of Social Services is dedicated to enhancing the lives of children, families, and vulnerable adults in South Carolina. We are seeking a passionate individual to fulfill the role of CWS Case Manager Assistant.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist CWS Case Managers in the Lowcountry Adoption Office with Foster Care and Adoption case management services.
  • Coordinate transportation to community resources as part of the social service aide plan.
  • Collaborate with a professional team to develop service plans for clients.
  • Request educational, medical, dental, and law enforcement records as needed.
  • Make referrals to service providers and facilitate family group conferencing.
  • Support the completion of essential documentation such as Foster Care Review Board packets and Home Studies.
  • Assist in transporting children and facilitating family visitations.
  • Provide emergency shelter services when required.
Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must possess a High School Diploma and have three (3) years of experience in clerical, administrative, social work, correctional, business administration, or general business. Alternatively, an Associate's Degree with one (1) year of relevant experience is acceptable.
