About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Facilities Management Director to join our team at CBRE. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our clients and ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide formal supervision to employees, including training and development, performance evaluations, and coaching.
- Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities, including establishing work schedules, assigning tasks, and cross-training staff.
- Review client strategic plans to determine appropriate staffing levels and manage capital project and operating budget reports.
- Develop action plans to improve financial positions and manage negotiations for contract services.
- Meet with client management teams and departments to discuss and resolve discrepancies.
- Apply a robust knowledge of multiple disciplines, including business and key drivers that impact departmental and cross-functional performance.
- Lead by example and model behaviors consistent with CBRE's values, persuading managers and colleagues to take action while being guided by the organization's functional business plans.
- Identify and solve complex, operational, and organizational problems, leveraging resources within or outside the department.
- Significantly improve and change existing methods, processes, and standards within the job discipline.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred with 8-12 years of proven experience, or a combination of experience and education.
- Facility Management certification preferred.
- Experience in staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention.
- Ability to lead the exchange of critical, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations, and balance problems.
- Leadership skills to set, manage, and achieve targets with a direct impact on multiple department results within a function.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Expert interpersonal skills and an inquisitive mindset.
