We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at Luther Manor in Sioux Falls, SD. As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
Job SummaryThis is a full-time position working 40 hours per week, including every other weekend and holiday. The Nursing Assistant will serve as a caregiver to residents during scheduled work periods, providing resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of a registered nurse.
Responsibilities- Provide assistance with daily living activities, including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, and obtaining and recording vital signs.
- Assist residents with meals and snacks, provide water and supplements as needed.
- Document resident interactions and outcomes related to resident care, behavior, activity, and dietary.
- Communicate resident's changing condition and care-related concerns/responses to the charge nurse.
- Collect non-invasive body fluid specimens and gather vital signs.
- Provide housekeeping and laundry services to assist residents with keeping living areas clean and operational.
- Participate in departmental/organization committees and task forces as needed.
High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required. Minimum age of 16. Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred. Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement.
