Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management: Lead and direct the management team, including scheduling, assigning responsibilities, and setting expectations. Manage performance of team members, including performance evaluations, coaching, and accountability.
  • Financial Management: Plan and implement weekly, monthly, and yearly financial budgets. Maintain operations of policies, aiming for consistent productivity and quality.
  • Operations and Safety: Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy facility by establishing, following, and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures.
  • Team Development: Hire, train, retain, and develop team members to take on larger roles. Foster open communication between team members and management team.
  • Guest Engagement: Drive guest engagement within the restaurant while developing relationships within the community.
  • Inventory and Control: Participate in monthly inventory counts. Work with the marketing team on promotions, events, etc.
  • Goals and Objectives: Meet goals set by Director of Operations, VP Marketing, and VP Restaurant Operations. Communicate and embody Goodwood culture and beliefs: Every Guest Counts, Food Perfection, Be Accountable.
Requirements
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service and ensure a positive dining experience for guests.
  • People Management: Foster teamwork, give feedback, and manage performance of team members.
  • Planning and Multitasking: Plan and implement daily, weekly, and monthly tasks and projects. Multitask and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Conflict Resolution: Resolve conflicts and issues in a professional and timely manner.
  • Verbal Communication: Communicate effectively with team members, guests, and management team.
  • Self-Motivation: Be self-motivated and take initiative to achieve goals and objectives.
  • Time Management: Manage time effectively to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks.
  • Experience: 4+ years of previous management experience in the restaurant industry.
