Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Wrestling Assistant Coach to join our team at Minnetonka Public Schools. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the head coach in planning, organizing, and implementing the wrestling program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the head coach in planning and implementing the wrestling program, including practices and competitions.
  • Supervise and mentor student-athletes to ensure their physical and emotional well-being.
  • Develop and implement conditioning and weight programs in collaboration with the Pagel Center Staff.
  • Coordinate practice and game schedules with the Student Activities Office and other coaches.
  • Enforce discipline and sportsmanship standards, and establish and manage activity penalties as needed.
  • Assist with equipment ordering, inventory, and maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including student physicals, parental consents, and attendance forms.
  • Participate in coaches' meetings, PLCs, and pre- and post-season meetings.
Requirements
  • Coaching license or completion of a MSHSL alternative program.
  • Knowledge of the assigned sport and State, Federal, and Minnetonka Public School Board Policies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Physical ability to perform essential job functions.
