Job Summary

The Consolidations Manager is responsible for managing the monthly group consolidation and financial reporting process. Designs and implements policies and procedures supporting the consolidation process and related reporting requirements

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the entire process to consolidate financial results under US GAAP for about 100 entities located in 50 different countries
  • Drive continuous improvement of the consolidation and reporting processes (both accuracy and timeliness)
  • Anticipate, plan for, and manage unusual or infrequent closing issues (their accounting treatment and impact on reporting systems and process) in coordination with other finance and non-finance functions
  • Work with the financial systems group to ensure the consolidations and reporting systems effectively and efficiently support the achievement of consolidation requirements
  • Coordinate and align with Financial Operations (FinOps), FP&A and Finance Business Partners on closing and reporting processes and outputs
  • Provide instructions, training, and assistance to local and regional finance teams (accounting policies, reporting process and consolidations systems)
Additional Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and support external audits of the Group's consolidated financial statements
  • Support the preparation of external financial statements and related footnotes
  • Support special non-recurring projects including funding transactions, M&A, restructurings
  • Ensure consolidation principles and policies conform with US GAAP
  • Manage the global intercompany accounting policies and process and the related reconciliation and elimination processes
  • Maintain and update the global chart of accounts including account definitions
  • Coordinate the updating and collection of quarterly and annual entity reporting packages
  • Coordinate the collection of entity data to support the quarterly and annual tax provisions
  • Maintain and close US holding company ledgers
  • Reconcile US holding company accounts including long-term debt accounts
  • Reconcile consolidated equity accounts
  • Prepare monthly consolidated cash flow statement
Team Leadership
  • Manage consolidation team and organize the work by delegating tasks and reviewing results
  • Coach team members on technical accounting requirements, financial systems, and planning organization skills
  • Direct, motivate and support the team through daily communication, positive and constructive feedback, formal performance appraisal reviews, compensation adjustments and two-way feedback
  • Meet or exceed team goals through effective leadership
  • Support team members' career planning and personal development goals by providing formal training, coaching and advancement opportunities
